Fight Back Friday January 27th

Welcome to another Fight Back Friday! Today we are bringing together another collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies from members of the Real Food Revolution.

Who are they? Why, they’re the Food Renegades. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food, the list goes on. I believe that by joining together, our influence can grow, and we can change the way America (and the industrialized world) eats!

So, let’s have some fun.

    Thanks for hosting. I shared a Fettuccine Alfredo recipe. It’s so yummy! Fresh lemon juice and zest add an extra special flavor to this dish, they help cut the richness too. Thanks again.

    I have entered a post close to my heart this week # 17 Brainpower Smoothie.
 My eldest daughter was a little stressed and overworked, as her final school exams are approaching fast. I really wanted to help her so I spent time researching which brain foods would help her to concentrate and memorize for many hours at a time. I only chose ingredients that had been scientifically proven to be effective in boosting brainpower and then went about concocting the ultimate brain food recipe. IT WORKS, IT REALLY DOES! My daughter found drastic improvements in her ability to think almost straight away so I just had to share this with you.
    In the post I have detailed why I have included each ingredient as well as the Brainpower Smoothie recipe.

    Thanks, Kristen for your awesome blog carnival! Today I am sharing this story about a Polish raw milk vending machine company with ambitions to spread their technology around the world. They believe in the healthfulness of farm fresh milk and know that small dairy producers will benefit from this mode of delivery!

    Thanks for hosting! I’m leaving a tip that will help anyone who bakes healthy bread from scratch: how spending just a few dollars can save you from the dreaded underdone or burnt loaves!

    Vaccines are constantly a huge topic, and people, even those in the natural world, are SO scared of polio. The post I submitted debunks many of the common myths about it and shows why polio is NOT so scary — nor is it likely to come back and start putting people in iron lungs again. :) (Always nice to add a little sanity to that insane debate….)

    Sharing a post I wrote this week about ways to gain better health outside of food. My focus was on the bathroom and includes shower filters, coconut oil, and something called a Squatty Potty, which has to do with colon health.
