Welcome back to yet another Fight Back Friday! Today we are bringing together another collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies from members of the Real Food Revolution.
Who are they? Why, they’re the Food Renegades. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food, the list goes on. I believe that by joining together, our influence can grow, and we can change the way America (and the industrialized world) eats!
So, let’s have some fun.
If you want to participate but aren’t sure how, please read these guidelines for how Fight Back Fridays will work.
Please be courteous and use your BEST blog carnival manners! In the very least, that means remember the two most important things you can do:
- Share a relevant post from your blog with us using the McLinky Widget below (don’t just link to your blog’s home page).
- In your post, be sure to link back to this post (not the Food Renegade home page) so that your readers can have access to all the information and encouragement we’ll be sharing.
Please also feel free to make use of any of the banners below by saving the image to your desktop then uploading it to your own server. (You don’t have to use them, but they’re there for you!)
If you don’t have a blog but are interested in joining the conversation, you can leave your comments below!
Today, I’m sharing a post in praise of Ghee! This versatile and often over-looked cooking fat is PERFECT for so many things in the Real Food kitchen.
Fight Back Friday Banners
PLEASE NOTE: The smaller banners are also available as badges/buttons for your sites over on my sidebar so that you can sport your Real Food Lovin’ Pride and inspire others to join us in the Real Food Revolution. Just copy the code and paste it into your sidebar. (Again, you don’t have to use them to participate in the carnival.)

I’m sharing my experience with cutting up a whole fresh chicken. It’s my first time getting a fresh pastured chicken (instead of frozen) from a local farmer. It was delicious!

Hey all! Happy Fight Back Friday and thanks to Kristen for sharing her space with us! My Thoughts on Friday post has some articles about raw milk, high fructose corn syrup and an ominous dead zone in the gulf attributed to GMO corn agriculture. Have a great weekend!

I am sharing my thoughts on fruit. A lot of people in the primal community avoid fruit because it is high carb and hinders weight loss. But, I know everyone enjoys fruit so why not eat some fruit and enjoy the journey a little more? The summertime is perfect for fruit which is why I eat more of it and enjoy it while it lasts.
Nothing beats fresh berries, cherries, cantaloupe, watermelon, peaches, apples, apricots and more!
Read my post to learn more why you should not worry about the carbs in fruit during the summer months!

I shared a couple – the first one because I think it’s important to see that people of all shapes and sizes can make amazing body changes in a short time just by eating REAL FOOD.
It was hard to put myself out there (let alone in my sports bra!) but I thought the benefits of people seeing it trumped my own insecurities!
The second one is the staples I always have in my house to maintain a Primal/Real Food lifestyle and I break it down for people who are just starting out!

I wrote about my realization that eating too little saturated fat can be an energy suck, especially during a heat wave. Thanks again for hosting this carnival, Kristen!
