Fight Back Friday August 19th

Welcome back yet again to another Fight Back Friday! Today we are bringing together another collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies from members of the Real Food Revolution.

Who are they? Why, they’re the Food Renegades. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food, the list goes on. I believe that by joining together, our influence can grow, and we can change the way America (and the industrialized world) eats!

So, let’s have some fun.

If you want to participate but aren’t sure how, please read these guidelines for how Fight Back Fridays will work.

Please be courteous and use your BEST blog carnival manners! In the very least, that means remember the two most important things you can do:

  1. Share a relevant post from your blog with us using the McLinky Widget below (don’t just link to your blog’s home page).
  2. In your post, be sure to link back to this post (not the Food Renegade home page) so that your readers can have access to all the information and encouragement we’ll be sharing.

Please also feel free to make use of any of the banners below by saving the image to your desktop then uploading it to your own server. (You don’t have to use them, but they’re there for you!)

If you don’t have a blog but are interested in joining the conversation, you can leave your comments below!

I can’t wait to see what you all share!

This last week I was able to spend some time with my family in Florida. My dad went deep sea fishing practically every day we were there, and caught a ton of great fish. I talked him into giving me all the fish heads ;-) and I made some great homemade fish stock with them! Can’t wait to use it in a delicious seafood soup!

Thanks so much for hosting FBF!

I posted my energy drink for the gym! Strawberry Coconut Power Smoothie. It’s my own concoction (or at least I didn’t look at any recipes to create it!)

I went to school in the US and still live here but am Mexican and grew up on tibicos, which is the Mexican name for water kefir and was originally derived from cactus leaves. This week I posted an easy how-to for water kefir including a secondary ferment and a cool trick for knowing when your kefir is bubbly enough. Thanks for hosting!

Better late than never! I posted 2 links – one for a vegetarian quinoa stuffed zucchini with Italian and Mexican versions. The other link, titled Baking Bread and Going Shopping, highlights my kitchen’s recent transformation. Thanks for hosting! I’ll be back :-)

It even contributes pollution tto the environment and most of all, it can damage
the lungs of the human body. Since I have started using an Electronic Cigarette I have wanted to
shout it from the rooftops. It should be used with caution since not only do the FDA tests show there are dangers, but there are other danger to e-cigarettes to consider as
    well.

Admiring the commitment you put into your website and in depth information you present.
It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t
the same old rehashed information. Excellent read! I’ve saved your site and I’m including
your RSS feeds to my Google account.
