Real Food Link Love
Once again I’m sharing a smattering of Real Food links with you from around the web — links I found tasty, thought-provoking, or ultra-informative. Now for those links. I hope you’ll find them just as enlightening, just as yummy.
The Cause of the Dairy Crisis — Fake Food
It’s been in all the papers, on all the major media network news: The U.S. dairy industry is in trouble. Farmers are pouring milk down drains and slaughtering their cows for beef. Why? Ostensibly, it’s because a surplus of milk has prices at an all time low. But why is the demand for milk fallen off a cliff? Is it really that the average consumer is buying less of it? Nope. Weekly Meal Plan
I am so thankful to have my husband home again! He was gone for the last couple of weeks, and we sorely missed him. Naturally, that means I’ve planned lots of new and interesting things for this week’s menu. (I’ve always used food to show my husband love.)
Fight Back Fridays
Well, fellow Food Renegades, today is the day! We are bringing together a collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies — each from a lover of Real Food.
Organic Is Not Enough
Organic food. It sounds so safe. So wholesome. So good for the environment. So good for our health. Doesn’t it? At least until you realize that the Texas and Georgia peanut plants that were sending out salmonella riddled peanut butter also had federal organic certification.
Thursday Link Love
I know, I know. You can’t believe a whole week has gone by, can you? Before we get down to the business of sharing some real food lovin’ links, I’d like to remind you about tomorrow’s very first Fight Back Fridays blog carnival.
How To Cure A Sugar-Fiend
Have you ever tried to get a child to eat healthy foods, only to have them opt out of eating altogether? The plate gets pushed aside. The tasty smoothies get poured down the drain. Someone stubbornly refuses to eat.
Weekly Meal Plan
After a weekend of traveling, eating fast food, fake food, and way more sugar than I’d eaten in a month, I am looking forward to this week’s meals.
