Welcome back yet again to another Fight Back Friday! Today we are bringing together another collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies from members of the Real Food Revolution.
Who are they? Why, they’re the Food Renegades. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food, the list goes on. I believe that by joining together, our influence can grow, and we can change the way America (and the industrialized world) eats!
So, let’s have some fun.
If you want to participate but aren’t sure how, please read these guidelines for how Fight Back Fridays will work.
Please be courteous and use your BEST blog carnival manners! In the very least, that means remember the two most important things you can do:
- Share a relevant post from your blog with us using the McLinky Widget below (don’t just link to your blog’s home page).
- In your post, be sure to link back to this post (not the Food Renegade home page) so that your readers can have access to all the information and encouragement we’ll be sharing.
Please also feel free to make use of any of the banners below by saving the image to your desktop then uploading it to your own server. (You don’t have to use them, but they’re there for you!)
If you don’t have a blog but are interested in joining the conversation, you can leave your comments below!
This week, I’m sharing a sneak peek video into my Real Food Nutrition & Health E-Course. The topic: What is Nutritionism? Come join the discussion!
Fight Back Friday Banners
PLEASE NOTE: The smaller banners are also available as badges/buttons for your sites over on my sidebar so that you can sport your Real Food Lovin’ Pride and inspire others to join us in the Real Food Revolution. Just copy the code and paste it into your sidebar. (Again, you don’t have to use them to participate in the carnival.)

Is barbecue safe? We can avoid the risk factors in barbecuing by cooking like our ancestors did. My post this week talks about how to barbecue the traditional way.

My post is about food options for vegetarians in restaurants and a recipe for a new food I just discovered and fell in love with at an East African restaurant called injera, which is a flat bread made from a sourdough batter.

Tracey is celebrating the 1 year anniversary of her menu service, and as her anniversary gift to the blog world is giving away a free month of menu planning! Great food, great gift to help you get a leg up on eating REAL FOOD. Thanks for letting me share with Food Renegade readers!

My first time posting here, I love your site and enjoy your Fridays.
Just a sort rant on our milk choices in Canada, I tried face it from a positive side.

I show you how to make the homemade milk based baby formula as recommended by the Weston A. Price Foundation in this week’s videoblog!
This safe, healthy formula is recommended for women who cannot breastfeed or adopt. Breast is best, of course, but whatever you do, don’t resort EVER to commercial formula which is packed in BPA laced cans – this chemical is a major hormone disruptor for infants.

I don’t get a chance to watch daytime TV and haven’t upped TeVo (have no idea how it is spelled), so yeah. Sounds like quakarama. Does Somers really inject shit straight into her vagina???
I like Oprah’s angel stuff. The paying it forward stuff.
I never held Frey’s foray into fictionalized memoir against him. “It’s not reality we look for in fiction, but the epiphany of truth.” From Reading Lolita in Tehran. The memoir I have been working on forever lends itself a bit to fiction. Not like Frey, but I have an admittedly holey memory. I fill up the hoes with the way I remember, or the way I was affected.

I’m with you there – fictionalized accounts can have the strongest impact. The issue with Frey and perhaps the woman in Tehran is that they are claiming that it is non-fiction. To me that is not necessary. Look at what Upton Sinclair was able to accomplish without facts. (Is that a good thing? Maybe not, but surely effective).
