This week's post is about serving fast food in schools and what it does to kids. Scary stuff.

Thanks so much for finding me at Traveling with Baby. I just posted my raw peach cobbler and raw bananaberry cobbler recipes on the linky. This looks like a great community which I'll be certain to frequent again and again!

I'm so happy that today is Friday and I was able to share about my exciting night last night at the FRESH screening. I have to say, I am seriously considering an internship at Polyface Farm!

Hiya!

Today we're talking about edible beauty products -- specifically, non-toxic, homemade, inexpensive deodorant. Woo! No more stanky.

Thanks for hosting, Kristen!

Ack! The new one tripped me up! It should say "completely edible - more wild eats"

Anyway, I posted about eating wild foraged food (or food your local farmer foraged on their land, if you are like me and live in NYC where even dandelions can be hard to find!). I listed some wild foods I recently ate and gave some tips on what they taste like and some ideas for preparation. But since it was my first time for some of them, I'm looking forward to tips and feedback from readers who may have been eating these foods for a long time!

Thank you for hosting such a great carnival! No new post this week (well, unless you count the pictures of my little ones . . . gratuitous cuteness! :) but I linked to a previous post on how to make crispy, roasted chickpeas - one of our favorite snacks (especially when Cajun-flavored! :)

Have a great Friday!

Best,
Sarah
