Sustainable Eats -- Fixed! And don't worry about it being Sunday. Everyone's welcome to join, although I may lock Mr. Linky up in time for next week's carnival. Anyhow, I love your blog! What a great idea to chronicle your journey that way. I'm sure that by the end of the year if you do all you hope to do, you'll be significantly farther along than me....

DOH! I thought I was correcting my Mr. Linky and I added myself twice - can you fix it please? Sorry! Not to mention that it's Sunday night now...

Hi Erica -- I think I Twittered this to you, but I want it out here for other readers as well: I think raw dairy really is the way to go if you're going to do dairy. But lots of people still can't do dairy, and I think there are two main reasons why:

1) Their guts need to heal from all the years of pasteurized, bad dairy they've consumed. Undigested milk proteins commonly accumulate in the walls of the intestines, blocking nutrient absorption and leading to digestive/psychological/physiological disorders. The gut needs to heal from this before raw dairy can be reintroduced.

and

2) It's genetic. Look at your ancestors. Did they spend thousands of years herding sheep/goat/cows and consuming raw dairy? Or were they in a part of the world where dairy animals were uncommon?

Son of Grok -- Oh I would have loved to have seen your contribution! It's never too late, really. If you had something good to go that you want to put up in Mr. Linky, you still can. Otherwise, we'll catch you NEXT Friday.

Thanks Kristen for posting this Fight Back Friday! I would have posted something appropriate but I haven't been feeling well this week (really, it's been like the past few weeks). I think I am about ready to give up on raw dairy, sadly. Especially after making several new batches of raw kefir. I can't stand the idea of letting them go to waste, but I really don't like the symptoms that aren't going away! =( I vow to get back to foods that nourish me!

Anyways, keep up the great work. I enjoy reading your and everyone else's contributions!

Dana -- Don't worry! Next time you'll do it w/o a hitch! Thanks for sharing.

Annie @ Hip Organic Momma -- I really enjoy your posts. Always so informative! Thanks for participating. We'll be hosting a No-GMO challenge in the not-too-distant future. So keep your eyes peeled!

Joanna -- Nah, you're right on track. I asked for anecdotes, and yours is about as honest a rant as they come! It really is a struggle to eat good food when you constantly have junk paraded in front of your face. :)

Kyle -- Sign up for a free one at Wordpress.com.

My Year Without -- Great post with lots of great ideas. Very attuned to the "baby steps" people have to take in their journeys!
