Welcome to yet another Fight Back Friday! Today we’re bringing together a collection of recipes, tips, anecdotes, and testimonies from members of the Real Food Revolution.

Who are they? Why, they’re the Food Renegades. You know who you are — lovers of SOLE (Sustainable, Organic, Local, and Ethical) food, traditional food, primal food, REAL food, the list goes on. I believe that by joining together, our influence can grow, and we can change the way America (and the industrialized world) eats!

So, let’s have some fun.

If you want to participate but aren’t sure how, please read these guidelines for how Fight Back Fridays will work.

Please be courteous and use your BEST blog carnival manners! In the very least, that means remember the two most important things you can do:

  1. Share a relevant post from your blog with us using the Mr. Linky Widget below (don’t just link to your blog’s home page).
  2. In your post, be sure to link back to this post (not the Food Renegade home page) so that your readers can have access to all the information and encouragement we’ll be sharing.

Please also feel free to make use of any of the banners below by saving the image to your desktop then uploading it to your own server. (You don’t have to use them, but they’re there for you!)

If you don’t have a blog but are interested in joining the conversation, you can leave your comments below!

I can’t wait to see what you all share!

Fight Back Friday Banners

PLEASE NOTE: The smaller banners are also available as badges/buttons for your sites over on my sidebar so that you can sport your Real Food Lovin’ Pride and inspire others to join us in the Real Food Revolution. Just copy the code and paste it into your sidebar. (Again, you don’t have to use them to participate in the carnival.)

  2. Mincemeat made with real meat has always been a tradition for our holiday meals. I am sharing how we used our grassfed farm products to make this traditional holiday fare. Recipe not included, but lots of pics of the process. Most recipes call for pressure canning for a long period of time, which I feel takes away from the nutritional quality of this holiday classic, freezing would be a better alternative.

  3. Just love Fight Back Friday’s! I’m submitting a post on a warming pumpkin soup with Mediterranean flavours! Of course, all ingredients are REAL FOOD. From full fat milk to homemade chicken stock!

  6. Hi Everyone!

This week I have a recipe for a healthier version of banana bread. This bread also has prunes which adds a nice caramel texture to it! And it uses fresh whole spelt grains!

  7. I have really come to enjoy the links here….I always learn so much. This week I have a butternut squash tart that’s made without all of the canned ingredients one usually finds in a pumpkin pie. It’s sweet enough to be a dessert but you can still taste the natural sweetness of the smooth squash, which I love.

  9. My post this week is about Australian cellulite guru, Bronwyn Hewitt, who’s been successfully treating cellulite using massage, back to basics nutrition, and aromatherapy out of her Melbourne cellulite clinic for the last 20 years. You won’t believe what Australian women are saying about her treatment –that it’s easy and fun? I included a few testimonials in the post so you can read them for yourself. I’m excited to be interview Bronwyn next week to get the dirt on all her cellulite secrets. Please let me know if you have a specific question for her. Thanks, and happy Fight Back Friday!

  10. I read a news article this week that got my back up: “This recession looks fat on you: Turn toward cheaper, unhealthier food weighs on Americans.” The assumption that real food costs too much has just got to be broken, loudly and often! My post features a collection of my favorite money saving real food blog posts from the last several months.

  11. This morning I was lamenting the fact that I didn’t have a real food post to share, but the inspiration bug tickled my typing fingers and I had a little anthropomorphic fun (and a bit of planthropomorphic fun if I may be so bold as to coin a tongue twisting new word).

So beware of the catnip crazed cat and his herby aerogrow overthrow. :)

I’ve been working on my okra recipe, trying to come up with something that’s snackable — like fried okra — but way, WAY better for me to eat. I think I finally landed on a recipe I like, and today, I’m sharing it on my blog. Hope you like it!
