@amanada – try this minestrone one or this garlicky black bean one. you could also cook a pot of beans in the broth. most of my soups are a toss in of whatever veggie, protein i have lurking in the fridge needing to get used up, plus a can of diced tomatoes and a grain (pasta, steel cut oats, rice, barley, quinoa).

http://foodwithkidappeal.blogspot.com/2009/12/leftover-veggie-tray-minestrone-soup.html

Jenna, I’ve got my first bag of frozen scraps in the pot today. But I’m stumped on how to use the broth. What recipes do you have for using this broth?

Hi Kristen! Love your work -

My post is on getting back into the kitchen, taking back our pocketbooks and our tastebuds. Especially focused on allergenic foods.

Thanks for hosting!

Hi Kristen - my post today is about my plans for a garden this year, plus a recap of what I did last year and what I have learned since my first successful season with a garden that produced. I talk about resources for gardening, ordering seeds and starting from plants, and other aspects of gardening (I'm a rookie, but I think I've learned a lot in the past year!). I'd love for others to share their gardening experiences too! Happy Fight Back Friday!
