I love your blog. I have one suggestion, though. ;-) I live out in the mountains, with no affordable internet options. The only way to get internet is to take my laptop with me when I go into town for errands, and log on for free at Barnes and Noble, where I open as many webpages in as many tabs as my computer can stand, then read them all back at home. When I find blog I love, like your, I'll open as many pages as I can, but I'm limited as to how many tabs I can open before my computer locks up. When someone has their blog set up like yours, with just short blurbs of each post, rather than the full post, it means that instead of each tab I open having multiple posts for my reading pleasure, I can only read one post per tab. Kind of a bummer when I'm limited to around twenty tabs, and can only get on the internet once every week or two. Very sad! I know others might disagree, but I love to see blogs with a month or more worth of posts on each page, with a "previous entries" button at the bottom. It also helps for skimming through posts when you're only interested in a few of the categories on a blog...you don't have to waste time going from one page to another every time you want to read a post. Just a thought for those of us that are broke and in the boonies. Thank you for the great blog posts!

Today I posted a bunch of ways to save money, health, and the environment by using baking soda! It's inexpensive and versatile and there seems to be no end to ways to use it.

I've been surprised that there are still lots of people who either have no clue what a free radical is or seem to think they aren't real, so this week I wrote about what they are and what they can do. It's a more serious post but I feel that the damage free radicals can do is serious business for everyone. Best part? The best defense is just so very simple....good solid nutrition!

cheers!

I forgot to mention it in the link above, but I made a fabulous mushroom and thyme tartlet for this year's Thanksgiving feast. Using a lard pie crust and a variety of mushrooms, as well as your favorite home made beef broth this is a fabulous savory treat!

Happy Eating and hope everyone is staying warm!

I had a craving for an old favorite childhood cookie recipe. It may not be as bad for me as I would have guessed (after all--it has a pound of REAL butter!)
