Rhubarb and strawberries are both in season here and I made a delicious dessert using these two ingredients. I love the combo and there is just enough good stuff in the dessert to make it act like health food :)

Enjoy!

I have a neat guest post today called 10 Essential Kitchen Tools for Breastfeeding Moms. Anyone with young children who insist on the benefits of cooking whole foods from scratch will benefit from this. I am also introducing a Vegetarian Foodie Fridays Linky for anyone with a meat-free post or recipe who would like to link up. I am especially interested in having any of the #realfoods movement folks link up with their veg-related post. You guys have so much to offer in the way of health and nutrition advice. While you may not get a convert over to eating meat you will surely educate on healthier choices and what foods to avoid. I so respect you !!!

Hi! My article this week is about finally making the decision to join a dairy club because of my increasing anger at trying to find healthy alternatives at the local grocery store. Happy friday everyone and thanks again to Kristen for sharing her space with us on Fight Back Fridays!

This post includes recipes for a simple home-make breakfast sausage and a quick tip for frying eggs, but the main recipe is for the very best, soft and fluffy soaked grain biscuits. Yumm!!

This week I'm planting an onion, to encourage people to grow something edible this summer! Your backyard is about as 'local' as you can eat.
